Well, I was in for…I was having an implant done and we were finishing up the implant. You know, it’s kind of a process. You have to pull the tooth and you have to let the little post grow into your bones. You’re talking six, eight months. We were just finishing and he put the crown on and he said, “Would you like to try the trial?” So I said, “I have no idea what that is.”
So he said, “You know, it’ll take us about, I think half an hour to put them on.” And they put on what my teeth could look like, you know, with this. And he took pictures before and after, and I was, like, “Wow, that’s amazing.” At first, you know, there was a little bit of sticker shock with the price. But then I thought, “You know, the stuff you spend money on, this is your mouth.” You know what I mean? This is your looks and I’m in sales. You have to look decent, you know? So I thought about it for probably six weeks and jumped into it and we did it. Couldn’t be happier. It’s the best money I’ve ever spent.

The first thing they do is offer you, like, a warm neck wrap and they offer you…you’ve got this nice screen with, like, the waves on there and music. And so that’s one thing they do. And then just how they talk to you, they’re real calming, and they just really kind of put your anxiety at ease. I know I noticed that when I first came because I was really nervous my first time. Because like I said, I’ve always been nervous with dentists coming to somebody new and I’m, like, “Oh, what are they going to think of my teeth?” You know, it’s embarrassing. But they didn’t make me feel embarrassed at all.

I was always considering braces as an adult. I had braces as a teenager, and my teeth straightened, and it was great until it was up to me to wear the retainer and I didn’t do that. Once I was in a place in my life to be able to focus on that, I had considered braces so I talked to Dr. Bradshaw about that, and he brought up Invisalign. I didn’t know if it was an option for me. Obviously, my teeth weren’t bad. I just had a little bit of moving realignment that needed to be done, but I hadn’t even considered it. When he spoke to me about it, it really kind of made the wheels turn a little bit. The really cool thing was I wasn’t in here for a consult. I was in here getting my teeth cleaned, and I was able to have that one-on-one conversation with Dr. Bradshaw for him to be able to say, “Hey, did you know we offer that here?”
Again, it takes away that apprehension of being a new patient somewhere else. Being able to do Invisalign in his office as a patient already was very, very easy. That’s kind of what started it. I wasn’t even in his chair for Invisalign, but we kind of were talking about what my overall teeth goals were, smile goals were, and I expressed that I wanted to, you know, straighten my teeth back out. Seriously, easiest thing I have ever done. I came in, they did all the measurements and the scans, you know, to get the impressions, and the day that I had the first, I guess, visit was super simple. I loved that I didn’t have to come in every two weeks. You know, they were able to say, you know, “Here’s this, this is gonna get you to this point, then you’re gonna come back in, we’re gonna make sure everything’s working right, looking good, and then we’re gonna send you on it.”
So it really fit my schedule. So it was so, so easy. When you think about traditional orthodontics, you have to go, you have to, if something breaks, if something… You know, I’m doing that right now with my children. My children are in traditional orthodontics right now, and the ease of Invisalign was fantastic. Oh, gosh, now, that it’s all done, my smile has changed. And I…you know, I was very self-conscious before, and now that I, you know, have gone through the process and I do have a better smile, or a more straight smile, it’s changed, and I smile more, and I laugh with my mouth open, and that insecurity is gone. I feel a lot more confident, and I’m glad I did it. I think it was something that would have bothered me if I hadn’t, you know, sought out to straighten my smile again.
